Invited Seminar on Wearable Research by Dr. Patrik Kutílek and Team

On July 3rd, Dr. Patrik Kutílek from the Faculty of Military Technology at the University of Defence in the Czech Republic visited WEAR Lab, accompanied by his colleagues Jan Hejda and Petr Volf. Their team specializes in the development of wearable systems and data processing methods for biomedical applications, with a particular focus on continuous and non-invasive monitoring of physiological and biomechanical parameters.

They delivered a seminar titled "Wearable Research: Systems and Methods for Continuous Monitoring of Vital and Biomechanical Parameters." The talk covered the group’s ongoing efforts to apply wearable technologies in various high-demand environments, including space missions, emergency response, rehabilitation, and telemedicine. The seminar provided valuable insights into how advanced sensors and algorithms can be integrated to enhance safety, performance, and early detection of fatigue or health risks.

Following the presentation, our lab members engaged in an active Q&A session with the guests, which led to meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange. Dr. Park also gave an overview of our lab’s current research directions and shared details about several ongoing projects. The visit concluded with a lunch gathering, offering a chance to continue conversations and explore potential areas for future collaboration.

We sincerely thank Dr. Kutílek and his team for sharing their expertise and research ideas with us! 🤓
